This was the first time this event was ever held. There were 11 local bakeries - including Sweet E's - competing in the competition; among them, Dessert Deli, Ohlson's Bakery & Cafe and Vin-Chet's Bakery - just to name a few.
This was the first time this event was ever held. There were 11 local bakeries - including Sweet E's - competing in the competition; among them, Dessert Deli, Ohlson's Bakery & Cafe and Vin-Chet's Bakery - just to name a few.
The idea was that each participant had to bake 250 cupcakes, either miniature or standard sized - all of one variety - to present to the over 200 'judges' who would, after tasting all of the entries, vote for their favorite, thus crowning the champion.
